May the Lord bless each of you and your family with His abundant grace!

As the new pastor, I am looking forward to getting to know all of you, and with you building a vibrant faith community of love and life. In order to accomplish this mission, first, I humbly ask you to pray and restore the love of God in your hearts. Then, I ask for your help, through prayer, and cooperation. I have been with all of you only eight weeks, but I have come to love you already. I believe that you are faithful and loving as you have shown in your warm welcome of me to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and School. I am asking you to help me to build up our parish community and restore the Catholic education to our school. I firmly believe that with your exercise of stewardship (time, talent, and treasure) our various ministries will grow and become a joyful presence of God in one another.

Recently, I asked for our brothers and sisters to form a Pastoral Council and to support the current Finance Committee in assisting me to serve you all effectively and faithfully, and the answer was “yes.” Thank you my brothers and sisters. Please allow me to finalize these councils, and I will then present them to all of you. Also, I ask you to support our councils with your financial sacrifices, prayer, time and talents.

I am pleased to have Sister Marilyn Skluzacek, O.P., as a Pastoral Associate and Director of Religious Education, on our staff. She brings a wealth of experience in Catholic education to our parish and school.

On behalf of our parish and school, I want to thank Father Dwyer for his past and continuing assistance to the parish, and I also thank the parish councils and our staff. We are grateful for the seminarians' presence as well, and are looking forward to working with them during their road to the priesthood.

I thank you for your presence at Our Lady of Lourdes, and may each of us live in the Love of God and experience joy in our hearts.

In Christ’s Love, I remain,

Fr. Peter Quang Nguyen
Pastor, Our Lady of Lourdes
